1. What questions do you have about the reading? How might they be answered?

Why is Osama bin Laden so much in hate with America if he himself never suffered poverty, and never really experienced the effects of America. I could have this question answered by reading biographies about him to see if he struggled as a kid. I could use this website. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/binladen/who/bio.html

2. Years have passed since President Bush's comments. What knowledge and evidence do you have to support, add to, amend, or oppose his explanation for terrorist acts? Why might jihadists want to overthrow certain Muslim governments? Drive Israel out of the Middle East? If you don't know how might you find out?

I can add the fact that American troops have invaded Afghanistan and Iraq. The American government has been having great relationship with close by Muslim countries, and al Qaeda does not like that. Jihadist might want to over throw certain Muslim government so they can join the extremist country groups. They might also want to over throw some governments because they can cut off their relations with the U.S. and other countries that they don't like. They would want to drive Israel out of the Middle East because they want to keep the Middle East only Muslims and no one else that is against them. They absolutely hate Jews and Israel is full of them. If I don't know I could find out by looking in history books, and Newspaper for the latest, newest news on the Middle East.

3. Even more years have passed since Bin Laden's harsh critique of the United States. What knowledge and evidence do you have to support, add to, amend, or oppose that critique.

My new evidence that supports his statements are that the United States has invaded Afghanistan and Iraq which is like their heartland and they care so much about it.  Other things that support him are that America is still in a very tight alliance with Israel, and the wars might be considered a massacre which would make their statement true. A thing that would go against him is that America has retreated from Saudi Arabia so one less place America is in.

4. According to Wright, what has led young men in Arab countries to find martyrdom attractive?

According to Wright the thing that makes martyrdom so attractive to young man is that if they perform the practice of martyrdom it's an easy life that could make you rich and have many benefits. They do this because they basically have no other options but they see other countries having more opportunities and get jealous.

5. According to polling in Muslim countries, how popular is Al Qaeda? Why?

Well according to polls Al Qaeda is the complete opposite of good popular, they disapprove of them. They disapprove because they don't like the fact that they are killing so many Muslims and infidels.
